Lone
Star Park at Grand Prairie, one of the most elegant Thoroughbred
racetracks in America . . . |
|
Lone Star Park’s world-class entertainment
facility includes a seven-level, glass enclosed/climate-controlled
Grandstand, 10-acre Family Fun Park, sun-shaded Courtyard of Champions
and state-of-the-art, Las Vegas-style Post Time Pavilion simulcast
center.
The centerpiece of the 73-day season is the NTRA All-Star Jockey Championship,
featuring a dozen of North America’s premiere jockeys. In only five
years, the NTRA All-Star Jockey Championship has established itself
as a major event in the world of Thoroughbred racing. |
| Signgrafx was called on to lend a hand in providing
a bit of a "face lift" to the orginal jockey championship wall (pictured
above). The result was a eye-popping, colorful new mural befitting
the stature of this event. The mural is 11 feet tall by 18 feet wide
and features the portraits of the previous winners dimensionally mounted
to the surface of the mural. The open spot on the far right will accomodate
the 2002 winner. |
|
Installation was quick and simple, with no excessive wall preparation
necessary. Total time required to complete the installation was less
than 4 hours with only one man. |

Other Murals for Lone Star Park
|
Spectacular, is a word that comes to mind for
this mural that runs full-lenth of the escalator wall. Beginning with
a lone jockey figure at ground-level, blending to a Texas/horse racing
theme graphic and ending with three colorful jockey figures at the
top of the escalator. This mural is 13-feet tall at ground level and
almost 70-feet in length. |
